I am a collector of stories, discarded objects and memories. I retired as the director of curriculum and instruction for a large suburban school district and continue to work as a mentor teacher, book coach, and staff developer. I served three terms as Poet Laureate for the City of San Ramon. I happily reside in northern California where the sky is always blue and the birds are always singing.

Kate Moore’s passion is literacy, and she serves as a mentor teacher and staff developer throughout the greater Bay Area. Kate served three terms as the City of San Ramon’s Poet Laureate (2012-2018); she also teaches poetry writing workshops and is currently working on a poetry memoir. Kate holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from California State University, East Bay, an M.A. in Teacher Leadership from St. Mary’s and a B.A. in English Education from SUNY Albany.
